Ballistics Test Facility Technician

Hawthorne & York, Inc. is an international organization researching and developing state-of-the-art armor technologies and products. Utilizing our patented Volumetrically Controlled Manufacturing (VCM), we are able to provide the most sophisticated and technological armor on the market. Our vision is to produce high-quality composite armor products for individuals, in vehicles and blast mitigation.  Currently, we are seeking qualified applicants for the position of:



BALLISTICS TEST FACILITY TECHNICIAN/MANAGER



to operate and manage a ballistic test facility. Applicant must have (a) a state-issued license in handling and firing handguns and rifles, and (b) experience in carrying out industry test procedures for characterizing body and vehicular armor. Preference will be given to applicants conversant with operating still and high-speed cameras, velocity measurement systems, statistical analysis, designing test fixtures, and maintenance and rehabilitation of ballistic test equipment.

 

      The ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels; strong verbal, written, and analytical skills; ability to excel in a self-directed environment.  Candidates must have strong computer literacy and application capability (MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project Manager).
