BI Developer

Develop full software solutions that provide enterprise Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse capabilities to support global business processes and facilitate decision making to improve Hypertherm's global operational agility, sustainability, efficiency, and profitability. • Analyzes and defines technology and data solutions of complex business processes, driven by business partners (Regional, Functional. Business, Production, Customer, Supplier) to achieve operational excellence.
• Through needs assessment (questioning, observation, documentation, workflow) identifies requirements, problems, alternate configuration opportunities, and impact throughout the organization. Proactively communicates with effected stakeholders and secures resources to move forward to ensure business continuity.
• Based on requirements, cost-benefit analysis, performance, reusability, and supportability, selects technology, application, delivery method, resources and security or leverages existing functionality to provide solution.
• Incorporates knowledge of datawarehouse design, data modeling, metadata management and best practices in solution design.
• While managing multiple priorities and deadlines, tests, delivers and communicates solutions that meet the expectations of the customer, including clear documentation, communication, training, follow up, and de-bugging.
• Supports existing implementations based on incoming requests (direct or escalated from help desk), error discovery, technical expertise, functional or historical knowledge.
• Answers questions on process or technology, identifies appropriate hand-off, or implements fix/enhancement based on needs to ensure global business continuity.
• Collaborates on improving coding standards and common practices, documentation, and upgrade/retrofit of old process/technology to new standard in order improve efficiency of internal IS processes and technology.
• Shares and captures knowledge through on-the-job training, collaborative project work and team discussions around relevant processes, skills and competencies in order to develop short and long term capability of the team and the C/customer.
• Clearly communicates complex ideas and technical knowledge to C/customers when practically applicable.

Required:

• BA/S degree in business or technology
• 2+ years related experience
• PL/SQL, SQL
• Java
• Hyperion or other OLAP reporting, OBIEE
• Oracle Data Integrator or similar ETL tool
• Data Modeling
• Data Warehouse Design
• Linux/Unix/Windows
• Oracle E-business Suite
• Experience planning, organizing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific goals and objectives including the ability to lead inter-team projects
• Understanding of business processes and ability to interface with C/customers
• Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner, both written and verbal
• Ability to interface well with multi-cultural personnel
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
