We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager who will have the opportunity to work remotely.

 

The Business Development Manager promotes the sale of Zebra products through resellers and end-user customers in assigned territories, and coordinates the efforts to achieve sales objectives. This position focuses on the advancement of sales within the Mobile Workforce arena. Assignments may be broad in nature and distinguished by the level of complexity in working with accounts of various sizes and stages of growth. Working under general supervision of the Industry Sales Director, the Business Development Manager uniquely bridges the relationship between resellers, end-users and Zebra. The position interacts with all levels within the external customers, particularly the executive and managerial level, as well as field sales personnel. This position focuses on resellers and end-user customers, interacting with sales management to work proactively on identifying and closing sales opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Identifies end-user sales opportunities and supports reseller efforts to close business.

2. Manages the relationship with resellers and end-user customers.

3. Manage the Value Added Resellers to support Zebra products to achieve maximum sales goals.

4. Proactively participates in joint sales calls and product demonstrations with resellers.

5. Reports and tracks sales opportunities on pipeline report to the Industry Sales Director.

6. Coordinates strategic selling plans for key accounts and partners with Key Account Managers, Territory Account Managers and Business Partner Managers.

7. Coordinates and may conduct on-site training sessions for Zebra products.

8. Coordinates Zebra resources and involvement when special projects are required.

9. Conducts VAR Program training when necessary.

10. Understands Zebra's corporate views and will support and defend them.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

CANDIDATE MUST WORK REMOTELY FROM HOME OFFICE

 

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in marketing, business administration or related work experience

• 6 or more years selling experience to a mobile workforce

• End-user and channel sales experience

• Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and presentation

• Working knowledge of networking, RF, and label printing solutions

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ACT! Software packages

• Willingness to travel 60% or more
