Assistant Product Manager
SPC is a leading manufacturer and marketer of synthetic sorbent materials used in a variety of industrial maintenance and environmental applications for spill clean-up, containment and control. Available in a variety of shapes, sizes and configurations, SPC sorbents and spill kits are used indoors and outdoors in virtually every type of industrial market and environmental sector. The company, founded in 1977, has manufacturing operations in the U.S., Belgium and Hong Kong. With sales of approximately $47 million in 2006, SPC employs 170 people.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have three to five years experience in product marketing, project management and sales support as well as the following skills and characteristics:
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once.Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Strong writing skills.
The position’s responsibilities include analysis and administrative tasks in support of product and pricing goals; management of product changes and introductions; and involvement with marketing communications activities.
Additional duties include market research; sales and proposal support; and interacting with other departments on special pricing and custom product requests.
