Assembly Tech/Field Service Rep
Manufacturing/Production/Operations Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Company: Synerfac Technical Staffing Contact: Shannon Floyd Email: Apply by Email Website: www.synerfac.com Assembly Tech/Field Service Rep Will be training on first shift in shop. Duties will include assembly of new tools, building of machines, disassembling tooling, manual machining, grinding, etc… Extensive training period (6 months plus) prior to being considered to travel for field service. Needs to be professional, presentable, and able to communicate effectively as company representative.EXPERIENCE / TRAINING •Machining experience or combination of Tech School training and experience. Manual machining education / experience preferred i.e. manual lathes, mills, grinding, boring and tapping. •Desire and ability to work with precision tooling, tool & die work. •Eagerness to learn and advance technical skills. Will be similar to apprenticeship. TRAINING – On The Job •Shop work on tools coming in for work i.e. removal of segments, labeling of parts, cleaning and inspection. •Shop work on new tools i.e. fitting of segments, boring and tapping, manual grinding and machining. Fitting of rollers, gears and bearings into frames. •Must pay strict attention to training, taking and reviewing of notes for reference, and be able to build on knowledge base from one day to next. •Interest / ability to move into Field Service role once trained. •Possibility of moving to 2nd shift for training, or once trained.TRAVEL •Travel as needed, including airline and international travel to client facilities for new installs of tooling, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair, and removal for shipping back to Shop for more extensive work. •Must have clear, active NC Drivers License for ability to rent cars. •Must be able to pass background check in order to obtain Passport for travel.
