TITLE: AssemblerLOCATION: Thomasville, GADURATION: 3 monthsREQUIREMENTS AND SKILL SETS Must be US Citizen, Perm Resident or EAD ONLY- NO CORP-to-CORP Necessary Skills (Must Have): HS Diploma or equivalent Demonstrates correct understanding of routine aspects of work Up to 2 years of successful experience in area of responsibility JOB DESCRIPTION Performs a wide variety of routine manufacturing functions in one or more of the following areas: 1. Electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies 2. the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies 3. Manufacturing equipment operation. Weigh, measure and check raw materials to ensure that batches manufactured contain proper ingredients in proper quantities 4. Performs incoming, raw material and final mfg inspection and/or audits of quality control programs 5. Set up, mix, receive, store and deliver and dispense production chemicals. Assists with routine repair and retest products. May assist with rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Assists with in-process tests (such as hardness, weight, variation, pH and moisture content) to ensure that batches meet specifications. Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations. Performs simple, routine work within area of specialization. Selects appropriate processes from clearly documented rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from manager. Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group. In a shop floor environment, this position may be responsible for performing a wide variety of physical or administrative tasks involved with shipping, receiving, storing, crating, distributing, and otherwise handling materials, parts, supplies, assemblies, or other equipment. At times, this may involve lifting, stacking, or sorting, or require the use of equipment such as material dollies, platforms, fork lifts, pallets, or other heavy equipment. Occasional heavy lifting may be required. This position may also be performed in a manufacturing production clean room or semi-clean room environment where fine motor skills and hand and finger dexterity, acute vision, color differentiation in the set up and detailed maintenance and operation of laboratory apparatus is required. In both environments reading instructions, recording results and data, and inputting information into a computerized system is required.
