Exterran is seeking an Applications Process Engineer in our Broken Arrow, OK location.
Primary Responsibilities and AssignmentsPerforms complex analyses of customer requirements to identify potential solutions to be offered by the company, both for the products for which the incumbent is directly responsible and others, and provides the appropriate process or equipment selection(s) Possesses knowledge of the processes or equipment offered by the company, possesses a thorough understanding of the design/selection methods and calculations necessary to design or select the appropriate solution, and is capable of utilizing the various computer-assisted methods of performing the related tasks Possesses knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of natural gas treating, compression, and hydrocarbon processing, as required by the Exterran product family for which the individual is responsible Utilizes the appropriate resources to develop cost estimates, as required, in support of development of the company’s quotation Constructs the appropriate technical reports and quotations utilizing Microsoft Windows-based computer tools Capable of working with no direct supervision Possesses the technical writing capabilities to write Startup and Operating Manuals for gas processing and treating plants Must have the necessary skills to provide startup and operating assistance for gas processing and treating plants
Education and Certification
Required:Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering Two to five years of experience in process engineering in gas treating and processing plants.
Specific Work Background/Experience
Required:Requires knowledge of ASME, API, NEC, OSHA terms and guidelines Requires minimum typing speed of 15-20 wpm and good English language skills, written and spoken Second language skills is not required but a positive Requires experience with Hysis process simulator
Special Requirements/Additional Comments
Required:Must be able to work under pressure Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department Must be able to work overtime as required Must be able to travel
