We have an immediate opening for an Applications Engineer with a south Dayton, Ohio area client.

This position will be the primary customer contact for our client centered on identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, product design, production requirements, quality issues and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities include establising customer product needs and design requirements and creating viable solutions.  Will utilize product and customer knowledge to educate customers on pricing and applications.  Will partner with manufacturing to insure all customer needs are being met.  Will set goals and objectives, establish call plans and strategies, and develop account profiles and sales plans.  Will also perform problem analysis in resolution of product related problems, including follow up, testing, troubleshooting and identification of bugs and enhancements.

Candidates should have at least a BS in Mechanical Engineering.  A Masters degree is preferred.  Must have very strong technical knowledge of fluid flow and heat transfer.  Also must have strong customer service, account management and negotiating skills with the ability to interface with all levels of an organization.  Prefer 5+years experience in sales and product design.

This is either a contract to hire or direct position.  Client offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
