Business Unit Description SPX Process Equipment, Waukesha Cherry-Burrell division, is a manufacturer of stainless steel pumps, valves and process systems for the sanitary and industrial markets. Job Summary Manage group of 6-8 engineers who provide engineering and technical support to our sales organization in order to promote new and continued sales of SPX Process Equipment - Waukesha, Bran+Luebbe and Plenty brands. This includes assistance with and approval of selection and quoting of equipment to match customer needs; assisting in resolution of the most complex of field problems; and participation in SPX PE sponsored training activities, along with affording training opportunities for staff. Responsibilities Provide technical information about SPX PE equipment and the processes in which they are used. Respond to a wide variety of inquiries for technical information about SPX PE equipment (such as specifications, dimensions, installation, operation, maintenance, problem solving, processes, etc.)Provide technical information and assistance for the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals and technical sales literature. Resolve complaints relating to field problems Gather and evaluate information (samples of failed parts, investigate symptoms and circumstances of problem).Make recommendations for resolution of problems.When necessary, help coordinate repair or replacement of the problem equipment, or the supply of special design parts. Report evidence of manufacturing problems to Manager, Quality Assurance and report evidence of design problems to Manager, Development Engineering Qualifications Bachelor¿s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Food Science or related field from an accredited four-year college or university, plus one 5-7 years related experience with fluid flow, pumps or food processing systems or equivalent combination of education and experience. Past Supervisory or Management experience of 1-3 years in this field is a must.
