Summary This position is responsible for working on the Business Performance Management (BPM) finance/IT project as a Business Analyst and Planning Model Designer. The project is using the Cognos application suite to deploy common finance tools at all ATK locations which will support the various business performance management activities for budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation. These tools (i.e. planning models) will support standardization, greater integrity of data, and detailed analysis capabilities throughout ATK.Primary Responsibilities· Provide expertise in Cognos 8.0 Performance Management tool set, focused on Cognos Planning with sufficient knowledge of Cognos business Intelligence applications to facilitate integration. · Partner with Finance Business Owners and Process owners across ATK and other members of the BPM team seeking to implement a web-based planning and reporting solution. · Design build, test, deploy and maintain multiple Cognos models to meet planning and forecasting business requirements throughout both the monthly and annual financial cycles. · Support model owners and their end users throughout the project/model lifecycle. · Share knowledge and coordinate on related initiatives with ATK, ATK Shares Systems environment and other ATK Finance Plan Systems developers. QualificationsEducation/Experience · Bachelors degree in Finance or accounting required. · MBA and/or CPA preferred. · Minimum of 5 years experience in finance, accounting, analysis. · Minimum 5 years experience with Cognos Corporate Performance Management tool set, focused on Cognos Planning Analsyt and Cognos Contributor, with understanding of BI Reporting and Cognos ReportNet. · Experience with ERP system environments. · Working knowledge of GAAP preferredPersonal Competencies · Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. · Comfortable in a team environment with multiple priorities and time pressures.
