Application Systems Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

 

As a member of the IT team, this position will set up, monitor, and maintain all EDI applications and interfaces.  Individual is responsible for monitoring all system interfaces for accuracy and integrity; maintaining, auditing, and reporting internal IT controls for compliance; and designing, maintaining, and executing regression and load testing scripts (Mercury Tools) to support applications development.

 

 

POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

t Responsible for all EDI systems including installation, coding, testing, debugging, and customer support. 

 

t Consults with users to identify and deliver EDI integration objectives.

 

t Creates documentation to support program development, logic, coding and support. 

 

t Develops and implements test plans. 

 

t Creates and maintains testing automation scripts through the use of third party tools (WinRunner / LoadRunner). 

 

t Creates and maintains internal IT audits for controls compliance.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

t Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related field.

 

t Must have 3-5 years experience with all 14 EDI transactions and implementing EDI in a multi-system environment using Gentran 

 

t Working knowledge of Gentran, Trusted Link or similar EDI mapping and translations tools

 

t Customer relations and EDI experience to plan, implement, and manage integration 

 

t Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts; understanding of Oracle databases

 

t Experience with Software Quality Assurance, Change Control, and SOX Controls Compliance

 

t Able to work independently under general supervision 

 

t Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Desirable Qualifications

 

t Knowledge of Oracle databases and PL/SQL

 

t Experience with Quest Software testing tools, WinRunner and LoadRunner
