Analytical Laboratory Manager
Analytical Laboratory ManagerÂ
Whitford Corporation, manufacturer of the world’s largest, most complete line of fluoropolymer-based coatings, has a position for a creative analytical chemist to run its Corporate Analytical Laboratory. The successful candidate for this hands-on position will work closely with our Corporate R&D and Technical Service groups to develop new products and solve customer problems.Â
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry and have 3 - 5 years of industrial experience. Non-Ph.D. candidates with a demonstrated record of achievement will also be considered. The candidate should be mechanically inclined and adept at the operation of computer-interfaced equipment and instrumentation. Familiarity with various analytical techniques including FTIR, GC, DSC, TGA, particle-size analysis, and viscometry, is required. Knowledge of coatings science and rheology is highly desirable, as well as a working knowledge of the statistical analysis of data. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work and solve problems independently.Â
Whitford's Corporate headquarters and R&D Laboratories are located in Elverson, PA, about 25 miles Northwest of Philadelphia. We have a complete benefits package including 401K and tuition reimbursement. Interested individuals should email their resume to: recruiter@whitfordww.com
