Job Summary:

Assists the executive management team to improve business processes, reduce operating costs, and manage multiple high-visibility projects within a distribution warehouse environment. This position is a potential entry point into management roles of more significant responsibility within the company.

Essential Functions:

· Works independently and within a team on special non-recurring and ongoing projects, which may include gathering information, analyzing operational or financial data, designing project plans, assigning tasks, and following up on assignments.

· Prepares conclusions and makes recommendations by analyzing and interpreting data summaries to improve processes.

· Coordinates and follows up with appropriate department personnel to expedite projects or bring them to completion.

· Generates new ideas for pick and pack systems, to shorten lead-times, increase return on investment, and improve customer service.

· Presents data by computer readouts, graphs, charts, tables, written reports, or other methods.

· Works in both office and production environments.

·  Performs other similar related duties, as requested or assigned.

Job Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Business, MBA preferred, and familiarity with operational improvement methodologies and concepts in Distribution.

· 3 to 5 years of industry related Warehouse Distribution experience required.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

· Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.

· Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standard situations.

Physical Requirements:

·  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. 

·  The employee must exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

·  Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.

·  May be exposed to considerable noise from machinery.
