Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk

A fast growing $50 million consumer products manufacturing and distribution company located in the City of Commerce is looking for an AR/AP Clerk.

 

Job Description:



 

·          Posting daily receipts to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.

 

·          Issuing credit/debit memos to settle invoices.

 

·          Balancing posting and deposit detail to summary documentation.

 

·          Submitting posting journal to AR supervisor for approval.

 

·          Calling on past due accounts, performing credit checks on new and existing clients, changing   credit limits, assisting the Supervisor with managing the AR department which involves payment application, research/resolve billing related issues and daily/month end reconciliation.

 

·          Also responsible for the high volume accounts payable, expense reports, and vendor contact.

 

·          Voucher entry and processing invoices, including resolving discrepancies in receiving and pricing.

 

·          Process annual 1099s and related reporting.

 

·          Ability to handle/manage problems in a timely manner.



 

 

Qualifications:

 

·          High School Diploma with a minimum of three years experience in manufacturing and distribution preferred.

 

·          PC proficiency is essential.

 

·          Knowledge of MFGPRO system desired, but not required.

 

·          Must be able to work with limited supervision, and be reliable and punctual.

 

·          Must be flexible in handling AP and AR functions.

 

·          Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately, and work in a close team environment.

 

·          Must have good organizational and time management skills.
