Accounts Payable Associate

Menasha Advantage is an internal Shared Service Center for Menasha Corporation providing transactional processing and business solutions for the company's operations across the country. We are currently looking to fill the position of Accounts Payable Associate. In this position you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely payments to Menasha's vendors according to company driven terms. You will also work closely with Menasha Corporation Operating Companies to solve invoice discrepancies and answer questions.Principal Accountabilities:

Ÿ Enter and verify invoices in SAP with comparison to an SAP purchase order, interface file or pre authorization list to ensure the payment is approved and for the correct amount.

ŸInsure payments to vendors are made according to predetermined terms and in the manner specified by operating company and/or vendor.

ŸProvide assistance to division representatives, answering questions and helping with unusual situations as they arise.

ŸAssess sales tax and allocate freight expenses when appropriate.

ŸIdentify and route all accounts payable exceptions to the appropriate business unit personnel.

ŸProcess non-routine invoice transactions that require knowledge of the specific situation in order to satisfy the business requirements, such as production order costing and centralized bills.

ŸProcess payments to vendors for each legal entity and appropriate currency.

ŸEnsure payments are within the established guidelines to take advantage of cash discounts and avoid penalties yet maximize our cash position.

ŸAssist in special projects within the department.

ŸUnderstand technology and equipment that are an integral part of the accounts payable process, including SAP, Easy Software, work flow and record storage,  call and performance tracking, interfaces from non-SAP business units, EFT and EDI, laser checks and positive pay.

ŸCross train in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable Scanning.

ŸPerforms other duties as assigned.

 Education/Experience Required

ŸAssociates degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent experience.

ŸOne year experience or equivalent training.

ŸExperience with SAP preferred.
