Accounting Manager / Part-Time

Robbins & Myers, Inc. (NYSE: RBN) is a leading supplier of engineered equipment and systems for critical applications in global energy, industrial, chemical and pharmaceutical markets.  Our three primary business groups – Fluid Management, Process Solutions, and Romaco – design, manufacture, install, and service a wide variety of products, including industrial pumps and agitators, glass-lined reactor systems, drilling and wellhead products, and pharmaceutical processing and packaging equipment.

 

We currently have an immediate opening for an experienced accountant, who would like to work on a part-time basis, to fill the position of Accounting Manager for our Romaco Sales & Service Center in Lincoln Park, New Jersey.

 

Key responsibilities for the position include:

· Performing and/or overseeing general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales commissions, payroll, etc.

· Maintaining the general ledger.

· Preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements.

· Overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process.

· Evaluating and recommending improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

· Maintaining internal control documentation to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements.

· Assisting in the preparation of an annual operating plan and quarterly forecast updates.

 

Minimum qualifications include:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· A minimum of five years related experience.

· In-depth knowledge of US accounting processes, practices, and regulations.

· Strong financial and analytical skills.

· A self-starter who can work independently.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in the use of accounting software.
