Account Executive - Tennis Division
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - TENNIS DIVISION
Imperial Headwear, an industry leader for over 90 years in the manufacturing of quality sports headwear, is seeking to fill an opening for a Sales Account Executive for its Tennis division.
Under the direction of the VP of Sales, the Account Executive's primary responsibility will be the development and growth of Imperial’s Tennis product line and increasing overall sales of those products.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS & DUTIES:
·Managerial level contribution to overall direction and strategy of Imperial’s tennis product line.
·Create and implement all sale programs related to developing and growing the tennis market.
·Responsible for ongoing assessment and communication of competitive landscape in tennis market.
·Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal order-processing staff.
·Initiate strategy for new product introduction to tennis market. Work with product development and sourcing personnel to take new product from development through launch.
·Monitor and report SKU sales on a regular basis. Make line add & drop suggestions as necessary.
·Participation in product development and SKU evaluation meetings.
·Oversee and direct all supplemental collateral pieces specifically aimed at the markets served.
·Responsible for identifying, hiring, terminating, motivating and training tennis Sales Representatives.
·Establishment of all tennis Sales Representative’s sales goals and performance monitoring.
·Compile and prepare annual sales and expense budgets.
·Relationship management and negotiation of all buying group agreements.
·Coordinate and manage all trade show efforts in the tennis market.
·Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
·Must posses a strong background in sales management including product introduction, promotion, prospecting, system selling, negotiation & national account management.
·Results-oriented manager with proven skills in strategic planning, team building, sales training and staff development.
·Must posses a superior work ethic, relationship building skills and ability to lead by motivating others.
·Understands the principles of marketing and advertising cost-effectiveness, including market sector targeting, product offer development, features-benefits-solutions selling, cost per response, cost per conversion, etc.
·Quickly develop client trust and confidence, including excellent customer relations, service and presentation skills.
·Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts customers and large contracts, particularly achieving genuine sales development.
·Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
·Must posses the ability to work independently while functioning within a team environment.
·Must posses highly developed time management & organizational skills.
·Must be willing to travel, including overnight travel.
·Strong computer skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
·Some college level coursework completed. Associates Degree strongly preferred.
·Minimum of 3-5 years of proven Sales Management experience, preferably within the tennis goods market. ·Strong understanding of tennis markets and how to sell and service to those markets.
·This position will be required to work out of Imperial's Denver, CO location.
