ABAP Developers-Senior Level

Candidates will be accountable for developing SAP ABAP programs and associated software development lifecycle (SDLC) deliverables. This position requires completing all steps of the SDLC including: interpretation of functional requirements and confirming requirements with functional business analysts, writing technical program specifications when necessary, ABAP development, and the writing, executing, and documenting of unit test protocols. In addition, developers may be required to assist in system, integration, performance and user acceptance testing. 

 

Previous experience with the following: SAP ABAP technical areas: Modification/Creation of custom BAPI specifically in SD,MM, FI.  Experience Object Oriented ABAP, and Dialog Programming is a must.

 

Additional experience in the following: Menu  Painter, Reporting (conventional and interactive), User-exits, BDC and Call-Transaction, Interfaces including ALE, IDoc, and  Module Pool (on-line dialog), SAP Script and Smart-Forms.

 

RESPONSABILITIES:Works closely with functional business analysts and the business to enhance SAP through reporting or technical changes from design through construction, testing, and launch.Enable all departments to optimize the capabilities of SAP and other business systems by enhancing reporting capability as well as enhancing business processes through technical modifications.Establishes a close relationship with the others in IT applications to ensure that the business needs are understood and being met / planned for appropriately.With functional business analysts, translate user requirements into SAP functionality, creates detailed specifications, lead technical aspects of projects, and identifies gaps in process.Works on and coordinates key SAP deliverables.  Identifies SAP systems problem trends.Monitors the testing and evaluation of new versions and enhancement of the SAP system and related software.

KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION:

 

Bachelor Degree required or equivalent plus Six to Eight years in Information Systems and 4-6 years of SAP ABAP experience. Preferably 5-7 years of SAP experience with established proficiency in multiple SAP application areas.

 

JOB EXPERIENCE:

 

· Proven technical skills in an SAP environment.

· Solid understanding of SAP as a business system from a technical point of view.

· Participation in full project lifecycle implementations using ASAP methodology.

· Experience in the following modules: SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, SM.

 

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:

 

· Strong technical skills in an SAP system environment.

· Strong decision making abilities and problem resolution skills.

· Outstanding communication skills and proven ability to effectively communicate at all management levels.

· Expert knowledge ABAP language; including SAP tables and structures, programming standards, and object dependencies version 4.6 environment.
