3rd Shift Production Supervisor

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Supervise an average of 35 to 65 indirect and direct labor associates.

 

2. Maintain and improve the following:  safety, quality, service, cost and culture.

 

3. Manage direct labor, indirect labor and materials to insure the attainment of daily production schedules.

 

4. Assist in developing and maintaining all processes required to product quality goods at standard rates. 

 

5. Maintain all processes, procedures and disciplines required to insure accurate labor reporting, production reporting and inventory control.

 

6. Lead, train, guide and motivate associates to executive standard work on a daily basis.

 

7. Maintain a clean, organized and productive manufacturing environment using LEAN manufacturing techniques.

 

8. Make timely and effective decisions to resolve any issues that prevent the company from meeting its stated goals and objectives.

 

9. Identify, support, and assist in the implementation of continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

1. Must have HS diploma or equivalent, technical training or college a plus.

 

2. A minimum of 2 years supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

 

3. A solid understanding and experience in the practices and principles of Lean Manufacturing.

 

4. Proficient PC skills to include MS Word and MS Excel.

 

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 

6. Proven leadership and team building skills.
