Freedman Seating Company, a growing manufacturing company on Chicago’s West Side, has an exciting opportunity for a CAD Designer.  We work in Solid Edge, and will provide training for the right candidate.  Ideally you will have used AutoCAD and some 3D modeling experience.  We find that Solid Works, Inventor, Pro E are helpful in learning Solid Edge.  We are looking for candidates interested in expanding their CAD skills; we will provide outside training to the right person!

 

We are a bus seat manufacturer and a leader in our industry. Our nearly 600 employees support the bus building industry with high quality seating. We often customize our products and are consistently expanding our product line.

 

Qualified candidates must have the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees. The ability to work on multiple projects at the same time is essential as we have a number of simultaneous projects with changing priorities.  Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes a plus.  We would expect some familiarity with Word and Excel, Access a plus.

 

As part of our engineering department, CAD Designers have the ability to participate in product design and product improvement.  In a typical day, you would work on the drawing and modification of different bus seating parts and seating systems.
