Sandvik Tooling, a world leader in tools and tooling systems for metal cutting, as well as components and high-volume blanks in cemented carbide is seeking CNC Mill and Lathe Operators in Mebane, NC.

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Program, set up, and operate lathe machines as required.

· Reading blueprints and checking part dimensions with appropriate measuring instruments.

· Make adjustments for tool offsets and locating coordinates.

· Accurately use measuring tools, checking for proper calibration.

· Observing all safety practices and procedures - performing preventative maintenance and keeping machines lubricated.

· Following strict safety procedures in maintaining a neat and orderly work station.

· Production oriented, capable of producing high volumes of parts with exceptional quality. Perform in-process inspection of machined parts.

 

 

YOUR PROFILE

· High School diploma or GED required.

· Minimum 1-2 years of CNC lathe experience, with a minimum of 1 year of CNC job setup experience.

· Knowledge of geometric tolerances is required. Knowledge of G-codes and M-codes.

· Must be able to read blueprints and drawings and must have basic math skills.

· Experience on set-up and working on CNC machining centers highly desired.

· Must have experience with micrometers, calipers, and blue print reading.

· Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

· Must be able to work independently, be focused on quality, and have excellent attention to detail.

· CNC Lathe experience preferred, however, consideration will be given to tech school grads.
