Our client is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to join their development team. Experience managing the development of websites at a company with a large web presence is key for this role.Candidates must have proven experience of personally managing teams through successful delivery of complex projects. The successful candidate will manage high visibility projects and guide these efforts from conception through delivery. We require a highly skilled & motivated individual who can adapt and learn quickly, and who will thrive in a dynamic team environment where effort is rewarded and accomplishments are recognized. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments are essential qualities necessary for success in this position.  Manage all aspects of internal and external (outsourced) software development. Allocate and schedule resources. Develop project plans. Define and track tasks, dependencies, priorities, milestones, deliverables, and risks. Provide regular project updates and presentations to executive team.Ability to fully understand and define scope of technical software projectsMaintain, improve and optimize our internal software development process Establish and adhere to set development plans and release dates – communicate release plans effectively to the development teams as well as to other departments impacted by established datesAssign and oversee development of design documents and unit test plansConduct regular status meetings with the development teams and departmental teamsReview all deliverable technical material, including documentation, training, marketing and print collateralWork closely with other departments to coordinate project release cycles and training of personnelInterface with customers as neededWork with the development team to foster an environment of dedication to the success of releases

Expected BackgroundDegree in a computer science, engineering or related area10+ years of relevant progressive IT experience, including 5+ years of Project Management experience using recognized project management tools, software development processes, and methodologiesExperience managing web application development projects at a firm with a large web preference, preferably an e-commerce businessExperience managing web application projects that are client- or consumer-facing, rather than internalExperience in taking a software product through the entire product life cycleHands-on experience managing multiple software development projects at a timeFamiliar with performing multiple releases on a single productExcellent communication, written and verbal skills with all levelsHighly motivated with keen ability to motivate others on teamSkilled in building relationships with clients and technology peersWorking knowledge of various software lifecycle models
