We have a need for a Web Programmer/Systems Analyst - Benefits IT in our Philadelphia office.Functions/Roles:Accountable for design, maintenance, enhancement, availability, and effectiveness of technical functionality and content for client web sites developed for the Total Compensation Statement (TCS) unit. Emphasis on graphical interfaces and web infrastructure. Also assists in the documentation and maintenance of applications, web sites and web servers. Helps provide work leadership and direction for other members of the TCS and programming staffs. Works independently with little direct supervision in the maintenance of assigned projects and the development and installation of systems of moderate size/complexity. This position must understand the rules of the business and how to implement them into client web sites and other applications, and must be able to program effectively and efficiently using Visual Basic, ASP, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, Microsoft Access and .Net in order to support our varied implementations. Mastery of web development tools and object-oriented analysis and design methodology is essential. Responsibilities: Meets with business area personnel to define business systems requirements for new implementations, resolve problems in existing applications, and determine systems solutions necessary to achieve greater efficiency of user operations. Analyzes detail systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolution. Evaluates technical and economic feasibility of the proposed systems solutions. Assists in pricing estimates for project proposals on the basis of cost/benefit analysis, level of effort, and skill level requirements. Designs and codes web pages for client web sites and C++ or Visual Basic applications for other business uses. Conducts system tests to insure effectiveness in meeting user needs. Provides and maintains program and system documentation and user operating procedures. Insures the continuing effectiveness of in-place systems through appropriate testing and modification and provides on-going support of systems implemented and user support.
Qualifications: Competency in initiating and implementing projects of moderate size and complexity. Bachelors degree and 3-5 years experience. Experience in the following standard tools: Microsoft Office, Visual C++, MFC Class Libraries, Visual Studio and Visual Studio.Net, ASP and ASP.Net, HTML, SQL Server.
