Technical Architect - LINUX

Relevant Experience (Yrs)

:

 6 to 8 years experience with Unix systems administration specifically Redhat Enterprise.

 

Technical/Functional Skills

:

Expertise in Unix system administration specifically Redhat Enterprise Linux. Perform Performance tuning, Kernel/OS configurations, Kernel recompilation, Creation of rpm packages, automation and advanced troubleshooting.

 

Fluency in shell scripting. Perl or Ruby on Rail is a plus.

 

Basic understanding of Oracle and Mysql administration to assist DBA on server setup and troubleshooting.

 

Knowledge in System Imaging via sysimager, Mrepo and Redhat Network

 

XEN/VMware Administration and Virtualization tools

 

Administer NIS, DNS, Linux Mail, ACE SecurID, Deploy, Build and FTP infrastructure

 

Perforce Administration

 

Experience in managing various Enterprise hardware solution (i.e. Dell, HP or Sun) and storage device (i.e. Dell storage, Netapps or STK ).

 

Good understanding of IP networking and OSI layer architecture.

 

RAID set up,Configuration & troubleshooting (both hardware and software raid)

 

Apache(web server), tomcat(apps server) Administration ;

Java setup and understand its components and functionality ;

Jboss and Jive knowledge is a plus.

 

Provide performance analysis for capacity planning.

 

Knowledge on various tools to check system performance, to analyze system load(kernel-level) and for IO and network benchmarking.

 

Advanced Backup Management Knowledge(preferably on NetBackup)
