Position is with a confidential end client; it is a large financial institution in Greensboro, NC. Project Description & Tasks This position is an Oracle/SQL TEAM Lead position for a large financial company. Requires excellent Oracle and MS SQL DBA skills. Oracle skills required are Oracle 10G and Oracle 9i on AIX and Windows platforms. SQL skills required are SQL Server 2000 and 2005 including: clustering, log shipping, replication, database mirroring, DTS/SSIS migration, data warehouse, T SQL and stored procedures. DBA tasks performed include: install, maintain and patch the MS SQL and Oracle software; create, move, upgrade, and delete databases; implement backup and recovery processes; routine maintenance on databases; performance monitoring and tuning ( using Performance Monitor, SQL Server Profiler and Dynamic Management Views for SQL); implement and maintain security rules; maintain state of audit readiness; problem resolution. Must have scripting skills and be able to help with Logical DBA task. Expert level performance and tuning skills needed for both Oracle and SQL. Should be familiar with change management and problem tracking tools. Must be able to work out of standard hours, as required, to implement changes. Expected to share in on call duty for out of hours problem resolution. Must have excellent communication and customer interaction skills as this job involves frequent direct customer interaction. Must have strong project management skills. Must have excellent leadership skills and ability to lead in a global team environment. Extensive background and credit check will be required. Special Skill Requirements: (not optional)Team Lead skills (i.e leadership, project management, customer interface skills, verbal and written communication skills); Oracle DBA skills (10G and 9i); SQL DBA skills (SQL 2000 and 2005) ; AIX and Windows skills; Oracle and SQL Performance and Tuning skills.
