Investments focus on early-stage medical devices across a wide variety of end-applications.JOB DESCRIPTION: The fund seeks a postgraduate-level Associate to be based in the firm's Atlanta office. Compensation is competitive with the market, and the start date is as soon as possible. ROLE: The Associate will work closely with the Senior Partners throughout all stages of the investment process. Primary responsibilities include new deal screening and conducting in depth due diligence and deal negotiations as a member of a project team. In addition, the Associate will assist in the monitoring of current portfolio companies with a view toward exit. Candidates should be able to thrive in a fluid work environment and enjoy a variety of work responsibilities and projects with the instinct for focused prioritization and execution. Candidates must be able to interact effectively with senior management and board members at potential new and existing portfolio companies. CRITERIA: 1-3 years of post MBA experience in management consulting or strategy development; medical device equity / company research in an investment banking environment, or a business development role within a medical device company. Robust analytical skills – technology, IP, and financial with the ability to analyze technologies within the medical device area. Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate, and form independent investment judgments. Exceptional (oral and written) communication skills Technology understanding of medical device products.
