Sr. Editor / Writer

MANILA Consulting Group, Inc., is seeking a full-time senior editor/writer with experience in all aspects of professional consultant reports, meeting summaries, conference proceedings, newsletters, and other documents. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, communications, journalism, or related field 7–10 years of professional experience in editing, writing, and document production Demonstrated ability to perform all stages of editorial review, from substantive editing to detailed copy editing and proofreading Ability to communicate technical language to a nontechnical audience Ability to merge sections of reports by different authors into one voice Ability to work independently and collaboratively on projects and assignments Ability to plan and organize time effectively to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks for diverse projects Advanced MS Word skills

 

Additional Qualifications (strongly preferred but not required): Experience using GPO and APA editorial guidelines Experience using PowerPoint, Excel Experience writing and editing proposals Familiarity with public health issues and/or experience with Department of Health and Human Services agencies
