General Statement of DutiesThe Solutions Engineering (SE) Planner ensures consistent delivery of Enterprise Technology Organization (ETO) Services (Investment) to their ring-fenced LOB BIO sponsored projects. The SE Planner owns the relationship with the BIO project team and is the primary point of contact between the BIO teams and ETO resources. Primary focus is ensuring Technology Operations meets the needs of the BIO investment efforts and the business unit by partnering with cross functional IT groups and the business customers providing solutions utilizing technologies supported in ETO.II. Distinguishing Features of the ClassThe SE Planner provides technical area expertise and represents ETO to the BIO organizations for investment projects. The planner performs the activities associated with devising and maintaining a workable project plan to accomplish the business needs that the project was undertaken to address. To meet project commitments, the planner obtains resource commitments as needed from Technology Organization Support towers and other infrastructure teams. They provide budget and resource estimates to the project manager, communicate variances, provide documentation, as required to assists the project manager in compliance with standard project processes, and communicate scheduled changes and rollouts to ETO management and support staff.III. Areas of AccountabilityProject Delivery (85%)1. Technical Project Planning and Consulting (resource/cost estimates, resource engagement, technical requirement gathering)2. Coordination of Project and Task Activities3. Coordination of resources required for project delivery4. Purchase process for projects5. Manage budget forecasts and capital investment expenditures6. Communications conduit between BIO/Business & ETO resource pool7. Perform business case reviews and prepare BCATClient Relationship (15%)1. Technical consulting2. Solution development3. Project speculation4. Risk analysisCritical Occasional Duties 1. Ad Hoc representation of Senior Manager as requested2. Perform high-level engineering design reviews 3.
