Software Engineer Trainee

 

Software Engineer Trainees at TCS begin employment in a fully-paid Initial Learning Program (ILP) conducted at either our Chrysalis Training Center in Buffalo, New York or our Cincinnati Delivery Center in Milford, Ohio. New employees interested in obtaining a global, international appeal can participate in on-the-job training at our state-of-the-art solutions center in India for a period of up to three months. TCS offers exclusive opportunities to train in our advanced facilities, working with diverse and cutting-edge technologies, while gaining both domestic and international experience and exploring multiple career paths.

 

On completion of the Initial Learning Program, Software Engineer Trainees join their onsite teams to work on pre-selected assignments with clients who offer a variety of medium or large-sized projects. Flexibility of relocation becomes a definite plus in the selection of excellent career advancements and opportunities because TCS clients are located across the U.S. and the globe. ResponsibilitiesDevelop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs Analyze user needs and develop software solutionsDesign or customize software for client use to optimize operational efficiency Develop existing systems by analyzing areas for modificationAnalyze and design databases within application areas Coordinate database development with team or individuallyMaintain systems by monitoring, identifying, and correcting software defectsCreate technical specifications and test plansUpdate knowledge and skills regularly through in-house and external courses, manuals, and

Requirements

 

 B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field of study Minimum of a 3.2 grade point average in your major concentration field or area of studyKnowledge of basic computer science concepts and programmingPermanent resident of the U.S. or a U.S. citizenPrevious experience a plus Interest and willingness to travel and relocate
