We are seeking a dynamic senior level Engineer responsible for providing engineering leadership on remediation projects; interfacing with ENSR project managers, client managers, regulators, office and field staff and subcontractors. Duties include technical oversight and management of engineering staff performing technical evaluations; remedial system design, start-up, operating, maintaining and testing soil and groundwater remediation systems; analyzing air samples and collecting soil and groundwater samples for monitoring and optimizing remediation system performance; reviewing technical reports prepared by staff, supervising the preparation of design drawings and specifications for environmental remediation systems. This is a high level opportunity where the right candidate will be able to make a significant contribution to the region's remediation operations. Job duties will involve both field and office assignments with some overnight travel required; preparation of technical and status reports; presentations to clients and/or governmental regulators;remain current with relevant governmental regulations; project scheduling and development of engineering cost estimates. Candidate must have excellent understanding and working knowledge of soil and groundwater remediation technologies, specifically related to chlorinated solvents and metals. Other related duties may be assigned.QualificationsThe successful candidate must be able to prioritize several assignments at one time, and be committed to delivering technically sound work products on time and on budget. Qualified candidates must also have excellent leadership and management skills, ability to mentor junior and mid-level staff, excellent written/verbal communication skills, have knowledge with project financial management systems, strong MS Office and Microsoft Project skills, and be familiar with the design, specification, costing, installation, start-up and optimization of remediation systems. Experience in preparing and presenting peer-reviewed technical papers is a plus. Minimum qualificactions include: Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 10 years remediation experience in a consulting practice. Professional engineer registration in California. PE in other Southwest US states a plus. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training. A valid drivers license.
