Senior Mechanical Engineer (Environmental)

CRA has an opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Baton Rouge, LA office who aspires to become an active employee in a vibrant, well-established worldwide engineering, environmental, construction, and IT consulting firm. Qualifications:BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.Interest in environmental design, investigation and regulatory compliance. Five (5) to Fifteen (15) years experience in mechanical engineering including project management and a registered Professional Engineer (PE).Experience with design, evaluation, troubleshooting, permitting, training, operation and maintenance of engineered systems to complete remediation of impacted sites.Prior HAZWOPER training is also a plus.Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and proven time management and organizational skills.Self-starter, flexible, team player, willing & able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision.Authorization for full-time, permanent employment in the United States is required.
Duties: Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans and engineering designs including design drawings and accompanying specifications including cost estimates and budgets, oversight of the fabrication and erection of the design, testing for acceptance, ongoing operation and maintenance, reporting, etc.Interpretation and implementation of environmental regulations.Coordination of small to large scale projects including maintenance of project schedule and budgets and coordination of field and office project staff from multiple offices.Field oversight of environmental projects to collect data used to prepare a design.Attendance at meeting and liaison with client and/or regulatory personnel.
