Management Consulting Services Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Reference Code 15926.749738.55368 CDI is currently looking for a SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERRESPONSIBILITIES: Develop real time simulation models for maintenance and flight trainers.Develop technical software solutions and ensure proper system engineering processes and procedures are followed.Communicate and coordinate with Customer, subcontractors, and vendors; coordinate across collaborative development teams and perform as task leader for specialized groups of engineers.Perform software engineering analyses to identify and select the most suitable integration and installation, requirements analysis, design, test planning, system performance evaluations, interface testing, resource planning and scheduling, system maintenance, reliability, and system evolution.Support Program Manager, Project Engineers, and System Engineers.Coordinate, lead, and participate in technical reviews.Assignments will require experienced judgment with innovative approaches to accomplish systems related work and resolve design/operational issues. DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to: interfacing with Customer to analyze and develop requirements; defining and developing system level architectures and designs; developing and updating simulation software; conducting integration and tests to verify system behavior and performance against requirements; preparing specifications, process studies, research and investigations; preparing reports and manuals and other activities requiring higher knowledge of system engineering principles and techniques. EDUCATION: BS Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Minimum of 10 years experience in the application of system engineering principles and discipline.REQUIRED SKILLS: Candidate must have demonstrated successful technical leadership on a training simulation program.Must have experience with object oriented programming utilizing C++.Must have strong communication and customer relation skills.Must have combined experience with implementation of system engineering principles in the following areas:Design and development of training devices throughout a program life cycle to include fielding.Integration of COTS hardware and software systems.Rehosting and technology insertion of existing systems with new software loads. DESIRED SKILLS: Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Project and MS Word.Experience with Windows and LINUX operating systems as well as UML desired.Experience in the design of simulated and stimulated avionics systems.MS in Engineering.Knowledge of DoD standards and guidelines.
