For more information, visit www.forrester.com Job Title: Senior Accountant FLSA Status: ExemptLocation: Cambridge, MADescription:This position requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented, service-focused individual possessing the ability to efficiently lead the accounts payable function, while also completing the majority of the general ledger processing and working independently to complete ad-hoc projects as required. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the Finance team.Responsibilities:* Review accounts payable, ensuring that expenditures are efficiently processed and accurately charged to the appropriate department and expense accounts within the general ledger.* Maintain vendor and T&E databases.* Lead liaison for all accounts payable and T&E questions.* Maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger.* For the month-end and quarter-end close, reconcile the majority of the balance sheet accounts, including accounts payable, accrued expenses and inter-company accounts.* Ensure timely and accurate recording of standard journal entries.* Ensure timely and accurate accrual calculations at each month end.* Oversee related year-end close procedures including 1099 reporting.* Additional projects involving analysis of balance sheet, income and cash flow statements as required.Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in accounting with three to five years related experience.* Outstanding interpersonal skills and attention to detail.* Proven analytical skills and solid business experience.* Working knowledge of financial applications (PeopleSoft a plus) and other desktop applications(Microsoft Excel and Word).* Prior experience in a high-growth technology company preferred.* Initiative, confidence, intelligence and energy.* Desire and ability to move toward managerial role.We thank all candidates for applying, however only those under consideration will be contacted.Forrester Research is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer; M/F/D/V are especially encouraged to apply.
