Project Management Support Coordinator
for
Study of Potential Land Acquisition and Air Space Establishment at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California (MCAGCC)
Function:
Manage multiple actions associated with the current USMC study of proposed land acquisition and Special Use Airspace establishment at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, CA (MCAGCC) to acquire the capability for sustained, combined-arms, live fire maneuver Marine Expeditionary Brigade training.
The Project Management Support Coordinator (Coordinator) will be required to work on site in the MCAGCC G-4 office, and must be able to provide objectively based information, programmatic planning, communications and outreach planning, and implementation, integrated analysis, and risk communication analysis and mitigation strategies. The Coordinator will support, assist, and facilitate USMC study and planning for potential land acquisition and Special Use Airspace establishment, and associated resource expansion efforts. The Coordinator will work multiple issues associated with Marine Corps training and operations, land, water, frequency management, and air space resources management, environmental planning and NEPA, real estate considerations – including BLM public land withdrawal activities, noise and safety issues, encroachment control, and range and installation sustainability policies and strategies. The Coordinator will also facilitate meetings and workshops, be involved with outreach activities and maintain and update the MCAGCC Land Acquisition and Special-Use Airspace Project Campaign Plan. The Coordinator will be fully accountable for ensuring completion and accuracy of reports, deliverables and other briefings in a timely and professional manner.
Candidates must possess excellent writing skills with a demonstrated background and experience in research and analyses, including the production of written reports and briefings, and should have a working knowledge of military training and operational requirements. In addition, Candidates must possess an ability to provide oral briefings, plan and facilitate meetings and generally be able to engage effectively in oral communications.
Candidates must be able to manage multiple project actions simultaneously and to integrate and synthesize inputs from individual installation and multiple, higher headquarters team members.
Candidate Knowledge and Experience: 10 to 15 years in a DoD, federal, state, regional or community research, analysis and planning environment requiredBasic understanding of and some experience with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) studies required; strong NEPA background highly desiredMicrosoft Office Suite of programs required (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access)Familiarity with Project Management software and GIS knowledge is desired Military experience desired
Education or equivalent experience required: Masters and Bachelors degrees from accredited college or university
Clearance: Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be able to acquire a Secret
government security clearance.
