Electrical/Electronics Engineering Industry Management Consulting Services Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Reference Code 15926.749738.54882 CDI Government Services has a need for a Program Planner for a long term assignment.This opportunity could lead to a direct position with our client and they are in a growth mode.We need someone with 5 years experience in scheduling in a manufacturing environment and a Bachelors Degree in Business, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other closely related discipline.We prefer someone knowledgeable in production and material control principles and techniques and cost control in a U.S Government contractor environment.Your ability to work and communicate well with others in a team environment and solid understanding of financial management will be needed for this position.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a requirement.Must be a US Citizen.You will work in direct conjunction with the Program Office to provide and apply the technical expertise required to maximize the benefit available to the organization by the use of sound principles of production and material control.Coordinate all cost and schedule activity, including but not limited to, all Earned Value Management System (EVMS) inputs related to hardware production. Create and maintain detail production schedule for an electronics manufacturing environment. Represent the Production and Material control function by interfacing with functional departments and program organizations. Incorporate inputs from Production Planners into the production schedule.Provide all EVMS inputs on a bi weekly basis on open programs. These inputs include cost, schedule, and spend plan status.Generate variance reports where needed in regards to those inputs.Provide quarterly EAC estimates for open programs. Provide written status of open programs on a minimum of a monthly basis.Interface with Planners by coordinating priorities between all planners and manufacturing areas.Review proposals to determine schedule related data requirements.Develop methods and procedures to satisfy these requirements. Prepare written instructions for personnel involved that facilitates the implementation of these methods and procedures.Evaluate the application of production and material control principles and techniques to current operations and make recommendations to add or modify, as required.Provide recommendations for decision making, problem solving, and training in areas related to production and material control.
