Interfaces directly with the Contract Electronics Manufacturer, as well as the internal customers to understand, scope, and resolve issues as they arise. Establish OBA and ALT guidelines and communicate them with the CEM Comparisons of yields, issues, and overall quality by factory. Set expectations for pre production builds. Manage the ISO9000 R&D quality system, internal audits and CAR/PAR tracking Approve and verify plans to demonstrate designs meet reliability MTBF goals Audit PFS, SDP, PDD, checklists and design reviews for quality/completeness Monitor corrective actions for design or process shortcomings; nominate solutions Coordinate FMECA activity and follow-up Signoff New Product Release, product reliability waivers & design concessions Promote the ETM product development process via training and coaching Collect & report KPI metrics; devise improvement plans Participate in lessons learned reviews; ensure integration back into processes Monitor production & field quality results for potential design issues Drive resolution of design or process related corrective actions. Document lessons learned and facilitate process improvements BS in Engineering preferably Electrical Engineering. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred. Familiarity with Six Sigma principles helpful. Experience in quality activities in development, metrics associated with these processes. Ability to interface with a broad variety of contacts, from customers and manufacturing as well as internal to Thomson engineers and support functions.
