The American Diabetes Association, the nation's leading health organization providing research, information and advocacy for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, is seeking an Associate Manager, Youth Initiatives in the Raleigh, NC market. Specific responsibilities include implementing ADA's program activities such as the Family Resource Network program, which develops relationships among families, diabetes health care practitioners, schools and ADA. The individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with families, key diabetes community groups and health care professionals within the community. Candidate must be energetic, a team player, dedicated to the achievement of personal and team goals and be results oriented. Experience in program implementation and development, working with groups to achieve desired outcomes and customer relationship building is required.  The available position requires phone cultivation, meetings and presentations. Candidate must be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple activities and able to describe to volunteers the ADA's vision of a successful program/event. Experience in working with people of diverse corporate and socio economic backgrounds and knowledge of Eastern North Carolina communities is preferred. The position will be part-time, approximately 20 hours per week and will be based in the Raleigh office.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience* 2-3 years work experience in program management and execution* Strong presentation skills, oral and written are required* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills* Willing to work some evenings and weekends* Access to a car as frequent, daily travel throughout the market area is required* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
