The selected candidate will help manage the development of both military and commercial computer, display, and communications equipment; provide project leadership throughout development, integration, compliance testing, requirements verification and validation. This position requires a candidate with extremely strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills to effectively work within all the Engineering departments, as well as Manufacturing, Business Development and Marketing. This position requires proven Digital Hardware and/or Communications systems design experience, including a through understanding of internal computer components and architectures. The candidate must have the ability to understand system performance issues and architect solutions to meet customer requirements by investigating and trading off various architectures and technologies. The ideal candidate should also have experience in wireless development, with knowledge of both current and upcoming wireless technologies. Previous experience in military development environments, particularly in project leadership, is ideal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership to teams and projects in the development of military and commercial computer, display and communications systems Design and development of rugged computers, display and peripherals Select and integrating state-of-the-art technologies & components for new designs Analyze existing products and recommend product improvements Qualifications Requirements: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering or related technical field. Five or more years experience in Engineering design Strong background in digital communications, PC design, or data networking Proven track record of managing people of project Excellent interpersonal, mentoring and communication skills Hold or qualify for a US DOD Security Clearance Ideal skills: Extensive experience in development of DOD and military products and systems In-depth knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in digital, microprocessor and PC design Knowledge of one or more wireless technologies (WiFi, WiMAX, Bluetooth, and 3G technologies) Proficient in simulation and modeling of digital and analog hardware designs Ability to understand system-level issues in a complex mobile wireless system Exceptional problem solving and system debug skills Working knowledge of DOD and military product development processes Ability to understand and resolve complex digital and communication system-level issues TAKE ACTION!Why wait another day?It is time to act!Apply NOW and join the CDI Team TODAY!!!
