For more information, visit www.forrester.com Job Title: Product Manager, RoleView Research, IT Client GroupFLSA Status: ExemptLocation: Cambridge, MA or LondonDescription:The RoleView Research Product Manager is responsible for product pricing, packaging, positioning, and performance of RoleView, Forrester's core research product, for the IT client group. This person serves as an evangelist and champion for RoleView to both our clients and the Forrester sales force.Responsibilities:* Product packaging and delivery * Conduct regular review of pricing and packaging. Drive RoleView Research pricing and packaging changes, and communicate across the organization.* Regularly review product design improvements.* Innovate on RoleView packaging in the context of unbundling in collaboration with RoleView product managers from other client groups.* Collaborate with the director of product management and product manager peers (FLB and consulting) to create role-based packaging that ensures RoleView success.* Coordinate with corporate marketing on the Web site and other research delivery vehicles like First Looks, Research Alerts, etc.* Educate sales in product packaging and delivery. * Maintain RoleView Research competitive analysis resources, and educate sales.* Collaborate with the VP of IT research to generate the "order" based on competitive analysis, voice of the customer, and related analyses.* Provide business development support to all IT sales teams.Product development/inbound product management* Be the voice of the customer (and non-customer) by leading our data gathering efforts with corporate marketing, including both quantitative and qualitative.* Expand the use of NetPromoter as a core metric for RoleView success.* Turn research panels into a source of client guidance and feedback. * Educate sales and research in voice of the customer.* Drive product enhancements (e.g., new research methodologies and types of content, new enrichment and retention tactics, and new distribution channels).* Determine the paths for new roles and role bifurcation.Product promotion* Drive creative user group promotion.* Develop and maintain standard product sales templates: proposal, sales presentation, etc. * Collaborate with the IT product marketing team to ensure maximum promotion of RoleView.* Ensure that relevant case studies, testimonials, Web site content, and other marketing collateral supportive of the sales process exist. * Create sales training materials, and oversee the delivery of cross-company product sales training program.Product measurement* Provide input to VP, IT research, Managing Director, and the IT client group to determine the long-term strategic vision for the product.* Communicate RoleView performance in a consistent, high-quality manner, including enhancements to the RoleView dashboard.* Build the clocks for measuring the health of IT roles, and provide analysis to the role managers to take action.* Collaborate with the VP of IT research on quarterly executive product reviews.Requirements:* Seven or more years of work experience* Two or more years of experience designing and structuring customized professional services solutions or similar product management experience* Professional services or similar experience, either in a business development or delivery capacity* Experience with IT strategic topics, trends and best practices, particularly in $1B+ companies* Outstanding project management skills* Proven interpersonal and verbal communication skills* Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams* Familiarity with standard marketing tactics and techniques * Effective organization and time-management skills* Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.* The ability to travel approximately 25% of the time* B.A./B.S. with strong academic record; M.B.A. highly preferredForrester Research is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer; M/F/D/V are especially encouraged to apply.
