General/Other: IT/Software Development Industry Management Consulting Services Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Reference Code 15926.749738.56132 WHY WAIT?Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity?This may be your lucky day!It is time for a change, and CDI can help!We have an immediate need for an Oracle DeveloperJOB DESCRIPTIONApplication/database outage support Skills/ experience required:- At least 3 years strong experience in oracle database design and logical/physical data modeling - Ability to design a logical model based on understanding of business requirements - Experience with data warehouse design, star schema and snowflake design, partitioning. - Solid understanding of oracle developer features such as analytical functions, materialized views, advanced replication, dbms packages, in order to give guidance to developers on developing ETL process, batch job scheduling - Ability to design and develop data extracts/conversions from non-oracle data sources into oracle - Understanding of application development methodology, ability to work on complex projects - Ability to multitask and work on multiple applications at the same time. - Strong experience in analyzing query plans and application performance tuning - Strong experience and ability to handle application outage support, query tuning, understanding database trace output reports, reviewing oracle statspack reports and recommending resolutions. Strong hands on expertise with: - Oracle 10g, Erwin, tkprof, oracle sql, sql*plus, unix shell scripting, sql*loader, plsql Experience or knowledge of: - Java, Hibernate, Informatica, mysql or other relational databases, Agile development methodology Responsibilities: - Level 1 Application outage support - perform troubleshooting on database related issues and be able to do Root Cause Analysis - Transforming logical models into physical models for database implementation with Erwin. - Implement changes to physical database models as per the change management /version control guidelines. - Assist development team with design/development of ETL load processes/ shell scripting.
