OGG Automated Recycling Mgr

I. Job Summary Assists in managing the operational aspects of the Automated Recycling Center (ARC) and the Automated Recycling Machine (ARM) installations, including but not limited to involvement with start up, assembly and installation, permitting, and ongoing maintenance. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Supports the implementation of ARC and ARM recycling units, consistent with the accomplishment of long range established objectives. Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities. Manages Waste Management field crews servicing ARC and ARM units. Counsels field crews as to execution of assignments and when necessary provides direction for modification in work plans or implementation of contingency plans in accordance with prevailing business conditions. Manages third party contractors. Responsible for overseeing and handling customer service inquiries and transactions. Compiles all customer service data requirements into reports. Maintains technical knowledge and a current awareness of new developments and techniques in ARC and ARM maintenance. Assists in implementation and maintaining programs to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of the ARC and ARM operations. Works with Recycle Operations Manager to develop operating unit budgets in a timely manner, forecasting financial and human resource needs for future time periods. Provides input related to personnel needs of the department including interviewing, coaching and training employees and evaluating performance. III. Supervisory Responsibilities The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees. This includes: Indirect supervision of ___4+___ full-time employees. IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience. B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements None required. C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required Experience in a position involving operations, permitting, customer service, community relations, health and safety, financial, and human resources function, experience with project management and/or recycling.
