About The Position

The Lead/Manager of Network Operations is responsible for understanding Reval’s information technology needs and managing the day-to-day operations of the Network Operations department to support corporate IT needs and production applications and related infrastructure.  S/he is responsible for directing and managing the Network Operations staff to ensure that Reval’s networks, applications and data are available, performing to expected standards, secure and protected.  S/he manages Network Operations department staff, operations, projects, financial/budget matters, assets, procurement, and vendor relationships to provide first-class information technology support with consistency in delivery and cost with minimal variability.Primary Responsibilities:

· Develop a deep understanding of corporate business needs and their relevance and translation to corporate information technology needs

· Direct all aspects of the Network Administrator team and activities to ensure that Network Operations service levels and expectations are maintained

· Direct network infrastructure configuration, support and management including availability, connectivity, performance, security, and protection; manages the maintenance of network documentation

· Direct data and servers backups and restorations; manage the development, testing, and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans

· Direct hardware and software management

· Direct Helpdesk administration

· Direct the management of email and telephony applications, networks, hardware, user accounts and directories

· Direct the support of internal & external production applications

· Direct the management of office security (i.e. keycards)

· Direct the management of all existing information technology and telephony hardware, software, and services; manages the procurement of new assets and services

· Lead the development of strategy and design for the company’s network/communications infrastructure

· Manage, reconcile, and track network operations expenses

· Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for Network Operations processes

· Advise internal program/project management to provide solutions to information technology problems and needs

· Direct the management of all information technology assets, including software, hardware, peripherals, telephony equipment, etc.

· Direct network operations efforts to prepare for and participate in audits

· Manage relationships with vendors, including contract negotiations and execution

 

Additional Responsibilities:

· Manage project time, status and expense reporting appropriately

· Attend competency, department and organizational meetings as required

· Manage, direct, and mentor staff members; works with each team member on their career and personal development as their manager and mentor, while ensuring that the team is recognized for positive efforts and actions

· Train and provide guidance to the Network Operations team on compliance with Reval’s system usage policies and procedures

· Conduct candidate interviews

· Provide sales support as required; participate in Request For Proposal (RFP) response efforts and provide assistance to proposal or Statement of Work (SOW) development

 

Skills and Work Experience Requirements

 

· 10+ years experience administering networks in a large-scale, multi-platform information technology environment in a highly available production environment.Experience hosting web facing production systems as a SaaS

· 6+years experience managing multiple information technology staff members

· Ability to analyze the network and recommend upgrades or changes

· Ability to assess and forecast the organization's current and future network needs

· Knowledgeable about a robust variety of the networking operations concepts, practices, and procedures 

· Superb judgment and decision-making skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Unwavering commitment to providing on first-class customer support

· Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work closely and effectively with Network Operations team and internal business teams

· Strong project management and business analysis skills, experience supporting a SaaS a plus

· Ability to listen effectively and present oneself in a calm, professional manner under pressure

· Fosters a team oriented and supportive environment

 

Technology Skills Requirements:

· TCP/IP and common routing topologies

· Cisco routers and switches

· Juniper Netscreen Firewalls

· Windows NT/2000/2003 services in AD and NT domains

· Exchange 2003/2007 Server

· MS SQL 2005 Server (Clustering & Mirroring)

· IIS 5.0 and 6.0 and Dot Net

· VMWare ESX Servers

· EMC Clarion SANS & related EMC software

· Internet and Intranet standard protocols and applications (FTP, HTTP, PPTP, IPSec)

· IPT technologies

· VPN technologies

· Hardware Load Balancing

· DNS

· Industry acceptable security standards & protocols

 

Education Requirements

· Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or related discipline preferred

· CCNA, MCP or MCSE certification preferred
