Roles and Responsibilities: - Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. - Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications - Develop fixes for multiple, complex transactional problems for AFEMS Java EE application deployed on a WebSphere Application Server composed of a Swing/Java applet/browser client front end interfacing with a Java servlet web layer calling EJB business components. - Develop Java application to assign Unique Item Identifiers to Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS) items stored in Oracle database via CXF-generated calls to DOD Item Unique Identifier Registry web service. - Develop fixes for multiple, complex transactional problems for AFEMS COBOL applications deployed in an IBM Environment. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: - Ten years of overall software development - Five years of Java software development - Three years of WebSphere software development - Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: - 9 years with Bachelors Degree and 5 years of Java - 7 years with Masters and 3 years of Java - 4 years with PhD and 2 years of Java - A candidate with a current Secret Clearance. Supplier must apply for a Secret clearance before the candidate starts work, will administer the security account under their CAGE, and will issue visit authorization letters (VALs) as requested by the NGIT program manager. Supplier will provide exclusive right to represent documentation signed by the candidate upon request from the hiring manager. Rate must include all applicable taxes.
