This challenging contract opportunity is located at our client site in Orlando, FL working with the Products Division. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of US import/export regulations, with specific emphasis on import valuation regulations to include US Customs Reconciliation program. Primary Responsibilities 1. Working on an import valuation process review project with the Product Divisions Export Control and Customs Team to identify and develop procedures for improved processes. 2. Review of purchase orders, import entry packets, and payment information3. Handling of customs clearance and related questions for imports into the U.S. 3. Participation in internal training sessions 4. Provide heavy import valuation on goods according to the HTS 5. Participate in audit and controlling activities related to Export Control & Customs Required Qualifications (must have) 1. Working Knowledge of U.S. Import and Export Regulations (Customs and Border Protection and Export Administration regulations) including experience on commodity classification according to U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Commodity Control List (CCL) 2. Direct experiences in the clearance of import shipments to the U.S. (customs brokerage, interactions with import brokers or U.S. Customs and Border Protection) 3 . Some college5.
