With a year 2010 vision of a national footprint, Benjamin Enterprises is positioning for growth by looking for a qualified and seasoned Human Resources Coordinator to manage the human resource functions of our NYC, Westchester and Orange County business units.
 Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator is a seasoned professional who combines an overall understanding of day-to-day responsibilities of supporting a diverse workforce with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment and maintaining confidentiality.Â
Job Purpose:
Maintains human resource programs by surveying conditions, identifying and exploring issues, while ensuring adherence to organization policies and procedures.
Duties:
* Monitors human resource program effectiveness by traveling, and being available to field locations; meeting with management and employees; identifying emerging issues; recommending plans of action to field management
*Leads the development and implementation of policies, practices, programs, strategic goals, and initiatives including training and communication
*Leads and develops strategies and plans to ensure human resources and corporate culture initiatives and actions achieve business results
*Serves as key liaison in the coordination and negotiation of major juman rsources vendor accounts and relationships (i.e.: pre-employment screening, benefits, training, and development of resources)
* Determines human resource requirements by conducting surveys; forming focus groups; analyzing responses
* Supports the staffing initiatives by conducting job fairs and hiring sessions in coordination with the Recruitment Specialist
* Ensures equal opportunities by guiding the development of affirmative action plans; investigating issues and complaints; recommending resolutions and improvements
* Supports talent acquisition and recruitment efforts in colloboration with the Recruitment Specialist by networking with various agencies and community groups
* Improves employee job results by identifying training requirements and conducting training forums; researches and recommends training programs
* Maintains management and employee confidence by keeping employee relations information confidential
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and the reading of professional publications
*Collaborates with other organizational leaders to develop entrepreneurial initiatives and efforts that support business development and client retention
*Ensures that direct reports and staff have information and knowledge necessary to accomplish BEI's business objectives
*Acts as liaison for senior management team and tyhe entire organization to ensure alignment with BEI's vision, mission, values, and achievement of the goals and objectives
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Law or Employment Law
Years of Experience:
7+ years of hands-on experience

Recruitment and Hiring Management, Training Management, Performance Management, Employment Law, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Confidentiality, Presentation Skills, Verbal Communication, Human Resources Management, Training Management, and the Analysis of Information
Skills & Requirements:
*Must demonstrate a solid understanding and knowledge of human resources law, policy development, practices and strategies
*Must possess experience with competitive wage management, benefit administration, employee relations, labor relations, risk management, perofrmance management, organizational change leadership, and training and development
*Must have experience with setting direction for team, while inspiring others to achieve all business objectives and results
*Must have proven leadership in leading organizational change and communicating information across departments and all levels of an organization
*Ability to foster a commitment to continuous improvement and customer-focused service across the organization
