Firmware Engineer

Tronics MedTech, Inc., a medical device contract design company  located in Sunnyvale, California, is looking for a Firmware Engineer. The candidate must have:

1.       7+ years of experience in software development.

a.      Must be able to assume role of a system engineer if necessary.

b.      Must possess knowledge of designing and implementing data processing algorithms.

c.       Experience in programming in WinCE and RTOS environment is a definite plus.

2.       Experience in designing and writing low level firmware and software in C/C++ and assembly languages.

a.       Low level self contained microcontrollers (modified Harvard architecture).

b.      Mid range microcontrollers (von Neumann architecture).

3.       Must understand relation between hardware and software.

4.       Must be hands on and be able to debug hardware while bringing up software.

5.       Familiarity with design specifics and safety standards in medical field a definite plus.

6.       B.Sc. required, M.Sc. strongly preferred.

7.       Must work well in a collaborate environment.
