Environmental Geologist

Terraine is currently seeking a mid-level environmental geologist to manage our Charlotte NC office, support ongoing projects, and seek new opportunities.

 

Terraine is a small environmental and technology consulting firm that has been in business since 1991, with offices in Charlotte NC and Knoxville TN.  Terraine is a Small Disadvantaged Business and HUBZone company with existing contracts with public and private sector clients.  




Position Description

 

Terraine is seeking a professional that can perform a variety of tasks, including actual field work (drilling supervision, well installations, GW sampling, etc), report completion and review, proposal generation, and basic managerial tasks.  Projects include typical environmental investigations (such as UST sites), long-term monitoring, remediation system operation and maintenance, etc.

 Requirements 

At a minimum, candidates should have a BS degree in geology or related environmental or science field.  Candidate must have taken and passed at least the first part of the ASBOG exam and be eligible to sit for the second part of the exam.  Preference will be given to  LGs and PGs licensed in North Carolina. Candidate must also have strong computer and communication skills.  Must be available and willing to travel; projects may include periodic 1-2 week field assignments.  Seeking personnel with at least 5 years of experience; must be willing to accept new challenges and perform a variety of tasks, including management of a small office.  Must have all requisite work permits to work in the United States on Federal contracts on a permanent basis. Completion of OSHA 40-Hour Health and Safety training required.
