Electronic Data Interchange Analyst
We are looking for a EDI Analyst for a Contract to Hire Position for our client located in Schaumburg, IL.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the implementation of electronic data interchange between companies.
• Consultant for the trading partners and is involved with deploying systems using the traditional EDI standards and XML-based Web implementations
Minimum Requirements:
* Working off-site is possible
* Experience with Webmethods a PLUS!!
* 4+ years of hands-on experience in EDI administration and development, along with full life cycle knowledge of application development experience.
* Direct product experience on a UNIX platform, and the candidate will have an extensive skill sets with Business to Business and Application to Application implementations.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Mapping - Information systems concepts 60%
* Strong skills using Java/J2EE. A good understanding of the JVM memory and thread management models. * Solid working knowledge of I.S. 6.5 SP2 using flat-file, ANSI X12 and papiNet XML document mapping.
* Solid understanding of loop'd data structures in flat files, standard X12, and XML documents.
* Flow service trace and debug. Database adapter setup and usage.
* Experience integrating Oracle / MS SQL server SQL, and data feeds to other backend systems.
* Knowledge on SOA and web services implementations.
* Trading Partner setup, Document setup.
* UNIX power user 20%
* HP-UX command line navigation, vi editor, command line editor, shell scripts, and utilities. Advanced search using find command.
