The Western Division is seeking an energetic, outgoing individual to help develop and implement an integrated development plan for the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. This individual will work with the Executive Director, program staff, and Leadership Council to develop a fund raising plan and infrastructure that supports the organization's various events and other fundraising activities. He/she will effectively interact with volunteers, donors, and corporate partners to aggressively expand the ADA's financial support and recognition as the preeminent organization supporting all who are touched by diabetes. Successful candidate will have some or all of the following characteristics: creativity, enthusiasm, resilience, flexibility, intuition, the ability to be a great listener and great communication skills, and the love of networking and building positive working relationships. High integrity, strong work ethic, and good organization and planning skills are essential.The ADA is offering a competitive compensation package for a position at this level in the not-for-profit sector to attract a high quality candidate.

* Bachelor's degree required * Five to or more years of experience relevant to the position. *Some exposure to diabetes and passion for the ADA mission is a plus* Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Proficiency in MS Office especially Word, Excel*Access to a car for travel - Frequent travel within assigned communities is required.* Ability to lift 25 lbs.Must pay close attention to details, be able to manage multiple activities, and describe ADA's vision of successful events to volunteers. Must have experience in working with diverse volunteer groups from many employment and socio economic backgrounds.
