ICF is currently seeking a Database Manager. This position will be responsible for analyzing the Enterprise's database needs and developing a long-term strategy for data storage. This position will also establish policies and procedures related to data security and integrity, and will monitor and limit database access as needed. This position is located in Fairfax, VA.Responsibilities:Manages a staff of database administrators to ensure the integrity and performance of databases Oversees the management of a data dictionary Oversees the design, maintenance and implementation of the internal database management system Implements tools, procedures, and policies necessary to ensure database stability, performance and reliability Mentors staff in the management of both Oracle and SQL databases and the appropriate utilization of tools Works with project teams to implement applications and servicesRequirements:College degree in IT, MIS, technology, math, or related 8+ years of experience working in an IT environment with database systems At least 5 years experience managing staff Familiar with a variety of the products, practices, and procedures utilized to manage data stores, data marts and data warehouses Must be capable of communicating verbally and through written documentation Familiar with MS Office, ERWIN or a similar data mapping tool, data extraction tools, reporting tools and database languages Capable of working with minimal supervision and to motivate teams to deliver tasks on time and on budgetICF International offers an excellent benefits packages and competitive salary.
